Description

The Patagonia Grade VII Down Jacket was developed for extreme high mountain terrain for belaying on winter north faces or frosty belays. The features, materials and construction of the down jacket were developed in close collaboration with Patagonia athletes and tested and optimized over many years in exceptional alpine conditions.

The outer material is made from recycled ripstop fabric with a coating and durable water-repellent finish, both without added chemicals. The fine but robust fabric offers you reliable protection against moisture and wind without restricting your mobility. The inner lining and outer material are cut in such a way that the insulation stays in place and cold bridges are avoided. Elastic side seams in the inner lining pull the jacket close to the body and prevent heat loss through air circulation.

The helmet-compatible hood has thickly lined chambers and the insulated collar also keeps the head area reliably warm. A two-way front zipper with double-layer wind protection strips prevents cold air from entering. Generously dimensioned outer pockets - all insulated with down on both sides - provide storage space and keep your hands warm. Two spacious mesh inner pockets and an additional storage pocket with a safety loop on the right-hand side offer space for gloves, skins or a bottle. The adjustable hem drawcord on the inside is positioned above the edge of the jacket to prevent cold spots.

The Grade VII Down Parka is manufactured in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory - for social responsibility with maximum technical performance. If you don't just want to endure extreme conditions, but want to climb through them, this is an expedition-level tool.
