Description

The Boreal Stetind expedition Boots are made for your most extreme mountaineering challenges and will help you not only on the Norwegian Mount Stetind of the same name. The astonishingly light, fully crampon-proof, and excellently insulating gaiter boots are the footwear for ice climbing and technical mountaineering in the glaciated high mountains at correspondingly low temperatures.

The extraordinarily robust, abrasion-resistant outer shell with the not too high closing gaiter is equipped with the waterproof and breathable Dryline® lining with Sympatex® membrane. Thanks to the large zipper handle, you can safely use the perfectly sealed zip even with the thickest mittens.

The highly insulating Thinsulate® technology, which surrounds your foot on all sides to eliminate cold bridges, provides plenty of protection against the cold. A triple Thermal Layer System with special fixation in the shoe maximizes the insulating effect.

The inner boot has a classic lacing and a velcro strap - once fixed you have a perfect fit in the boot - absolutely necessary for steep terrain. The Heel Fit System, a foam padding system that fixes your foot in position, also contributes to this.

It goes without saying that the Stetind's stable Category D brine construction with crampon mountings at the front and back and easy-grip Vibram® Teton outsole is also prepared for all alpine challenges. The high torsional stiffness and low weight are of course achieved by means of a carbon insole.
